One of the best ways to get a great bench press is to train overhead pressing strength. Because of various inhibition mechanisms, your bench press progress is often delayed until you spend time on the overhead press.

Try a One-Arm Overhead Dumbbell Presses Start off with 5 x 6-8 reps on a 40X0 tempo and then follow by an antagonist exercise. rest 90 seconds and repeat

Your food suggestions are so helpful. If one starts off with the healthy options you recommend for breakfast, what are some good things for lunch?

Great suggestions. I can't wait to try the tumeric! I notice that the times I skip breakfast, or don't eat what I should, is because I started my day too late because the previous day ended too late. With so much to do and not enough time, breakfast seems to suffer first. I keep whey protein and granola bars at my desk. I also have a bowl of fruit at the office, which I always keep full. However, by the end of the week, I can't stand those shakes. On those days I just can't stand another shake, I take a pbj (organic crunchy pb) on wheat bread, a banana and I also will grab a mix of nuts and raisins to snack on through the morning. Any other suggestions for the consummate bad morning person would be much appreciated.
