• NUTRITION

Diabetes, heart disease and cancer share the same causes. They have these three things in common:
    1. The immune system is weak and depleted.
    2. The body is overwhelmed with toxins and waste matter.
    3. There is a massive presence of pathogens (infecting agents) in the body, including parasites, viruses, bacteria, yeast, fungi, etc.

The main requirements for healing diabetes, cancer and heart disease and most other serious and minor illnesses are as follows:
    1. Neutralize the toxins and poisons that weaken the immune system and feed pathogens.
    2. Strengthen the immune system to remove all pathogens and keep them at bay.
    3. Kill off all harmful parasites, viruses, bacteria, fungi, molds, yeast and eliminate them from the body

To be successful, all this has to occur at the same time.

    Sage infused Water

Sage is an ancient herb used to treat indigestion, depression, female sterility, even menopausal symptoms.
It has properties that relax muscle spasms, reduce feelings of anxiety and boost liver functions.
It’s a powerful herb, so do not overdo it, more isn’t better in this case, 2-3 glasses a day is fine.

The food additive monosodium glutamate (MSG) could lead to obesity. Recent research found that people who eat more MSG are more likely to be overweight or obese. What’s more, the link between high MSG intake and being overweight held even after accounting for the total number of calories people ate.

MSG is a widely used food additives. It is often present in processed foods although it is frequently not clearly labeled.

    Reuters reports:
“In the latest research … [scientists] followed more than 10,000 adults in China for about 5.5 years on average. The researchers measured MSG intake directly by before-and-after weighing of products, such as bottles of soy sauce, to see how much people ate … Men and women who ate the most MSG (a median of 5 grams a day) were about 30 percent more likely to become overweight by the end of the study”.

    Recognizing our Mental State

Pick a day when you are having a difficult time noticing the state of your mind, and without judgment take notice how you feel.

Perhaps today several difficult states will appear, sadness, anger, confusion, loneliness, delusion or grasping.

Determine that three times during this day you have deemed difficult, and carefully notice and track the course of your mental states. Without any judgment notice, which states are present, their level of intensity, how long they last, and how much you are caught up in them. What story are you telling yourself over and over?

Make notes and write them down and continue to do this for the next 2 days. After 3 days sense what effect the mindful acknowledgement of difficult states has had. If it has been illuminating or released you from its grip, continue the practice.

Next, in the same way, look for a day that you feel to be most positive, and start to observe the healthy states that are present. You might notice, clarity, love, confidence or joy. Notice the ruling thought and how long they last and whether you are grasping. If it’s helpful, write them down for the next two days.

After the third day, sense the effect of healthy states has on you. Recognize that you can be aware and support these states. Now that you have learned to do so, continue to practice.

    MEDITATION OF THE WEEK

    Meditating on the Night

Just be alone, sit silently, look into the darkness. Become one with the dark, disappear into it. Look at the stars — feel the distance, the silence, the emptiness, and use night for your meditation. Sitting in the bed doing nothing…just feeling. Many people are completely unaware of the beauties of the night…and night is tremendously beautiful. It is the right time for meditation.

In yoga psychology we divide human consciousness into four stages. First we call the waking state of consciousness, the day consciousness. You work, and you appear a little alert. And the second we call the dream consciousness. You are asleep, but dreams are running like a procession. The whole mind is in a traffic jam. Then the third state we call sleep, when dreams have stopped. And the fourth, we simply call the fourth, but it is closest to sleep. It is just like sleep with only one difference, and that is that one is alert in it. It is as silent, as deep as sleep, with just one plus — that one is alert. In sleep you are completely unconscious. In samadhi, the fourth state, you are absolutely silent, yet aware.

So night in the past has been used for meditation. The day is too worldly — the night is very spiritual. So start using the night more and more. By and by you will feel so tremendously in tune with night. By and by the whole world goes to sleep. Everything stops — traffic stops, noises stop…the mundane world is over. People — their unconsciousnesses, their criminal attitudes — have all disappeared into sleep. The atmosphere is absolutely clean…no jarring note.

So just start enjoying the beauty of the night and feel more and more for the night.

    DONUTS

Did you know that one plain doughnut can have up to 18 grams of fat? For many, this can be about a third of their total fat allowance for the day. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend keeping total fat intake between 20 to 35 percent of total calories.

Read labels carefully. Doughnuts can pack a hefty dose of unhealthy saturated and trans fats as well as high fructose corn syrup.

Instead consider a sprouted-wheat bagel or sprouted english muffin with a tablespoon of raw butter or a slice of raw organic cheese.

    Your arteries will thank you.
