  • Listening is a creative force that teaches patience

One of the most valuable gifts we can give another person is to really listen to them. To pay close attention, be fascinated with our whole being while being fully present to what the other is saying.

Can we honestly say that we listen to each other so completely?

Listening is a creative force. An amazing thing happens when we are listened fully. We expand and grow and ideas come to life.

The way we listen allows the other person to bring forth what is true and alive to them.

Have you noticed how some people have the tendency to talk non stop? They go on and on and really not saying much in an almost superficial way. This is because they have not been listened to.

When you encounter a person like this patience is needed for them to get to their center point. Listening well takes time, skill and to slow down, to let go of judgment, boredom and expectations.

When people experience the depth of being listened to, they also begin to listen to others in the same way.

Listening is an art that calls for practice. Imagine if we spent just a few minutes a day practicing listening, being fully present with the person we are with.
